Members of Avalorien are expected to adhere to the standards of respect, loyalty, dedication and determination.
1. Have fun! We are a family that understands that this is a game and we are here to have fun! Get to know your guild mates. Take the opportunity to make some friendships. Members of Avalorien are expected to be helpful to others. If YOU come first this is not the guild for you. Note this includes begging for items in guild chat, whining, cajoling and all other behavior you would associate with a 3 year old.
OOC: Explore, develop your character, learn your game and the environment in which you will live.
2. Loyalty to the guild and its members is a must. The goal of Avalorien is to become a family that works together to help each and every single member succeed in all he or she sets out to accomplish in this game. We expect members to work and participate as much as they possibly can to the best of their abilities. This means that members of Avalorien are not to be duel guilded meaning having priorities to another guild while guilded with Avalorien. We need dedication of one mind, one family.
3. Guild Representation is not only expected, but it is also extremely important to the good name of our fine guild. There is no reason for members to misrepresent the guild in offsite chats, personal chats, forums or other means of communication. We are not here to bicker or fight with other guilds. We will treat all visitors to our site and our company with patience, respect and pride. At no time will a member of Avalorien put down or attack another guild or its members, regardless of who started it first. Diplomacy should always be a first reaction to a bad situation. Be the example to the rest of the community.
4. Participation is key. If you have no intention of participating, please do not apply for membership. The goal of this guild is to be ready on release to get on, get together and make this happen. Guild chats, online quests, forum discussions are vital to the survival of Avalorien. We have a strict system of monitoring active members and it will be enforced.
5. Acts of hatred, personal attacks or harassment of any member or non member is completely unacceptable. This includes attacks on other guilds and their members. People who violate this simple act of disrespect will face a course of action to be taken.
6. Inappropriate language or topics of discussion will not be tolerated. Topics of sexual nature and or foul language are not acceptable within the halls of Avalorien or in the world of Norrath by members of Avalorien.
OOC: Real Life should and always will come first. This is not a power gaming guild. We expect that Real Life responsibilities get taken care of above the guild responsibilities. No exceptions. If you need to go AFK for Real Life issues, simply let the Heru know of your decision so that you are not retired from the guild for inactivity. Reasons for going AFK on Real Life issues are no ones business but your own, however the Heru will need to know you will be AFK. People who continually have real life issues may face evaluation to determine if there is a problem or if that member should move on.
